What I've been working on
My first project of stranded knitting. I'm taking a class for this technique. I'm working the hat from the brim up to the top of the hat.
Maybe you've heard of my search for brown socks. I have some brown pants and in the wintertime, I have no socks to wear with them that actually match. I decided to put my knitting skills towards the powers of good and make my own brown sock. One sock down, another almost done. I'll keep you posted.
Using Patons classic wool merino, size 7 DPN.
Well, the first one I knit! It was such a quick and easy project that I'm inspired to continue with more blankets. And it was my first experience with cable needles. What was I worried about?
This blanket was made for Graceanne Foster!
My first venture into two colors in socks. Still much room for progress, but they are cute!
I would have finished both socks before posting photos, but I have a few projects to do before I get back to the left sock. Or is it the right?
On the bottom is the needle I used on my last project (size 9). Above that is the new needle, size 1. Like a toothpick.
The new pattern-forming yarn. It's from Lana Grossa, and the color is called "Fantasy". I agree.
